The Draycott co-owner Marissa Hermer wrote Circling the News about a new service at the Palisades Village restaurant: fine dining takeout.
“We are trialing a pickup service at The Draycott from this Wednesday through Saturday,” Hermer said. “We’ve never been a pickup/takeout restaurant — but in an attempt to keep doing what we love, transition our kitchen and our team to suit the needs of our community, and also so we can continue our family business when this crisis is over, we are launching a pickup service.”
“Our incredible Chef Michael Fiorelli from Olivetta and our dear Chef Josh Mason from The Draycott are working together in The Draycott’s kitchen to prepare these delicious dinners,” Hermer said, noting that the takeout menu includes all the favorite dishes at both restaurants.
“Then my husband Matt or I (wearing gloves!) will either load into the back of your car OR you can walk up to the front door of The Draycott and pick up at a sterilized table outside that we will bring your order to you — with smiles and our deepest gratitude — at a distance of course,” Hermer said.
She asks that you make your order by 2 p.m. prior to the day you want the meal, by calling (310) 573-8938 or by emailing emma@thedraycott.com. To access the menu (bottles of wine are available) visit: thedraycott.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/The-Draycott-Pickup-Menu.pdf
The pickup menu includes a choice of salad, a choice of pasta, a choice of dessert and the ability to add a whole or half chicken, plus add ons, such as sourdough bread, burrata cheese, English pea dip, roasted baby carrots or roasted Romanesco and cauliflower. People can also choose from six different bottles of wines: three wine, three red.
“We can’t thank you enough for your support during this very challenging time. While we never imagined this, we are so grateful to have such a supportive community — and appreciate our role in feeding our town,” Hermer said. “We are thinking of you and yours and sending all our love.”
“nearer my God to Thee . . . “
