LAPD Pacific Palisades Senior Lead Officer Michael Moore released the crimes recorded in Pacific Palisades from January 10 to 24.
BURLARY THEFT FROM VEHICLE
January 10 to 13, 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., I the 16600 block of Marquez Avenue. The suspect took the rear license plate from victim’s vehicle. The suspect punched a lock on victim’s vehicle and took camera equipment and a jacket.
January 19, 2 to 5 p.m., in the 500 block of Los Liones. The suspect punched a lock on victim’s vehicle and took camera equipment and a jacket.
January 19 to 22, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the 100 block of Ocean Way. The suspect took various cards from victim’s vehicle.
January 22, 10:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., in the 15600 block of Sunset. The suspect took a laptop computer and credit cards from victim’s trunk.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
January 24, 11 p.m., in the 173000 block of Sunset Boulevard. A 50-year-old female was arrested for DUI after being involved in a minor traffic collision.
THEFT
January 20, 7:20 p.m., in the 15400 block of Sunset Boulevard. The suspect (black female, brown hair brown eyes, 5’6″ 160 lbs. 30 to 40 years) entered victim’s business, took alcoholic beverages, and left the store without paying.
Moore said it is important to report all crimes. If a crime is not reported, it is not entered into the LAPD database–and crime numbers drive the allocation of officers. If people in Pacific Palisades don’t report crimes, this area is viewed as low crime, which means less police coverage.
