At PaliHi Baseball Field with Food and Fun
There are several good reasons to head to the Palisades High School baseball field directly after the parade, which ends close to 4 p.m.
First, the gates open at 4 p.m. and you’ll have primo seating on the field for the concert/fireworks.
Second, numerous food trucks will already be stationed between the baseball field and the PaliHi gymnasium when you arrive – no need to cook or take a picnic basket.
Third, while you and your spouse relax, have a chance to unwind and just talk, someone else will engage your children. Counselors from Camp Gan Izzy of the Pacific Palisades Chabad will be entertaining kids of all ages with arts and crafts, games, a bouncer slide and other inflatables.
Palisades Fourth of July organizers thank Chabad’s Rabbi Yossi, who is not only supervising activities at the field for the second year but is also running in the race and driving the updated Ruhman Little Red Schoolhouse in the parade.
“He has community spirit and has been good to work with,” said Palisades Americanism Parade Association treasurer Daphne Gronich.
Once your kids are occupied, send your spouse to the food trucks to pick up dinner, dessert and coffee—and then just rest on the grass as the music drifts over from the Festival stage
The music kicks up a notch with the Palisades High School Band at 6 p.m. and the National Anthem, and then it’s music and more music, until the fireworks are set off at 9 p.m.
The cost is $10 a person ($11 if you use a credit card), and children under 2 are free. Inflatables, arts and crafts, music and fireworks are the perfect cap to an ideal Palisades Day. Tickets can be purchased at palisades4th.com.
