Burglars were apprehended on Pacific Coast Highway after a citizen reported seeing them stealing from cars.

After Someone Sees Them Breaking into Cars

There has been a recent spate of car burglaries along Pacific Coast Highway. Around noon on June 19, LAPD Officer Rusty Redican told Circling the News: “We just took a bunch of suspects into custody who were breaking into surfers’ cars at Topanga Beach, Will Rogers Beach and other areas of the Palisades and Venice.”

Redican reported that at Topanga Beach, a person observed the suspects breaking into the cars, called 911 and followed the car. He flagged down Redican, who called for additional resources.

Since the most recent crime had been committed in the Malibu jurisdiction, Malibu Sheriffs took the suspects into custody. Redican also passed the information on to LAPD detectives, who responded that they may have some police reports that will identify these suspects and their vehicle.

“Hopefully these car burglaries will stop for a while,” Redican said.
