Brentwood Community Council President Carolyn Jordan wrote, “With the Palisades parks damaged from the Palisades Fire, it is critical that interim public space be made available to Westside residents, including the Palisadians who lost everything in the fire.”
There are several special guests who will be at the opening day of the community space and Council District 11 has some special giveaways planned for impacted Palisades residents this Saturday (while supplies last).
“We know it is a long road ahead, and we hope to support you throughout the process,” Jordan said. “Please stop by this weekend.” The school is located on Gretna Green between Montana and San Vicente. It will be designated as so mark your calendars.
The opening of the space was through the combined efforts of Brentwood Green, Brentwood Community Council and CD11 Foundation. The Brentwood Community Council wrote we want “to thank LAUSD Board Member Nick Melvoin, his Senior Advisor Allison Holdorff Polhill, Brentwood Science Magnet School Principal Reginald Brunson and Councilwoman Traci Park for their support in making this special space available on the weekends to the community.
“We hope this space becomes the Palisades’ ‘home away from home,’ and Brentwood is excited to share this special location with you,” Jordan said.
