We were finally able to visit our property on Las Casas on Sunday, February 2.  With permit access in hand, we passed the check point at Sunset and Amalfi.  There were five of us.  Besides Bob and me, we were accompanied by my daughter, my granddaughter and my granddaughter’s husband.

We came with a purpose… and that was to rescue our goldfish.  We had already been told by two different people who had come by our property after the January 7 Palisades Fire that the fish were alive.

When we arrived at our house and went to the backyard, we found a good Samaritan had rigged up a solar powered aerator to our pond.

To this person, thank you!

We immediately went to work and after a short time all seven fish were captured.

The fish were rescued from the pond.

They are now living happily with my granddaughter and her husband in Glassell Park where they have created an outdoor fishpond.

And of course, they said we can visit the fish any time we want!!

Great story. Great neighbor or Good Samaritan who installed the aerator. Such a Palisades community thing to do!
