The Friends of the Library parking lot book sales may return if volunteers can be found.
Committed volunteers are needed to help Friends of the Palisades Library resume its book sales in 2024. The money made from the sales helps support the Palisades Branch Library.
Volunteers are needed to receive and sort books donations at least once or twice a month, or more. Those interested must be able to lift and move boxes of books safely and comfortably. Volunteers will receive and sort donations at tables set up in the library parking lots on scheduled donations days. Two to three volunteers will be needed for each shift.
Beginning in January, volunteers will be needed work one of the four shifts:
Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
Wednesdays from noon to 3 p.m.
Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon
Saturdays from noon to 3 p.m.
There will be an orientation meeting held for all volunteers in December, with the goal of resuming sales in 2024. To join the Book Sales Team, email Wendy Edlen at wendypacpal@yahool.com or call (310) 962-8313.
NOTE: NO used books are currently being accepted at the Palisades Library. Once volunteers are in place, that activity may resume. Look for that notice.
