Your child already has a job – school has started or is about to start – they don’t need added stress from competitive sports. One way to help them socialize, get exercise and just generally have fun is to play AYSO Soccer.

Unlike club soccer, there are no screaming coaches, no pressure about having to perform to play (one of the tenets of AYSO is everyone plays) and no need to spend Saturdays and Sundays driving to the Valley and Orange County for club games.

AYSO Region 69 has been serving the communities of Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Topanga, and adjoining neighborhoods since 1975, and has consistently been recognized as a Platinum Region for its outstanding program. All children with birth dates between 2007 and 2018, are eligible to play.

Players will receive their team assignments by August 20, and the 7U division and older will begin practices at the end of August. First games are Saturday, September 17. Most divisions still have a few spaces.

Should there be waiting lists, those parents who volunteer to referee will be given priority.

AYSO is an all-volunteer organization, whose mission is to develop and deliver a quality youth soccer program where children build positive character through participation in a fun, family environment.

AYSO’s philosophies are Open Registration, Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, and Player Development.

All residents are invited to join the AYSO Family. This is a chance to not only volunteer but work with your child on the field. Coaching and refereeing training is provided for parents.

One parent volunteer who refereed said, “I didn’t realize how hard the kids were trying until I was in the middle of the field with them. It gave me a whole new perspective.”

The season registration fee is $455 and all information is found on the website. Visit: ayso.69.org.
