One of the most inspirational events in Pacific Palisades is the annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service, hosted by the town’s clergy. The service this year, “Unity in Gratitude will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 22, at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 1031 Bienvenida, or via Zoom or YouTube (https://youtu.be/OhRfR4EJI6g).
Annually for decades, Palisades clergy plan and participate in a service that brings the community together on the Monday night before Thanksgiving. The hour-long service is inspirational and offers hope, unity and love.
Participating clergy include those of Corpus Christi Parish, The Parish of St. Matthew’s, Palisades Lutheran Church, Community United Methodist Church, Pacific Palisades Presbyterian Church, the Self Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine, Kehillat Israel Reconstructionist Congregation and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
For years, your Circling the News editor had heard positive word of mouth about the service, but I never attended until I was editor of the “original” Palisades News. It proved to be an absolutely wonderful and uplifting experience and for the past six years I haven’t missed it. My only regret was that I waited so long before I joined the celebration. Regardless of one’s faith or beliefs, this service brings the community together in giving thanks.
Hi Sue:
Do you know how we sign up to be on the list for a Zoom notification for the Interfaith Service on Monday ? So happy there is that option this year.

Dee Dee,
I noticed some of the churches have listed individual Zoom, but I just added the Youtube link that St. Matthew’s sent me.
