Juveniles in the town have attacked seniors, beat up younger kids, set off fire works, smashed car windows in the Alphabet Streets, graffitied local parks and others areas of the town, shop lifted and destroyed the Village Green grass. Maybe it’s time parents know where their children/teens are and what they are doing.

So, it was a bit of a surprise today to receive a call from Sam Hyatt with POOSH. I had no idea who she was, and thought I had missed putting in an upcoming charity event.

It turns out I was wrong. Since, I seemed clueless, she filled me in, “POOSH is Kourtney Kardashian’s company and I work for her.”

This editor doesn’t follow the Kardashians, never watched their shows, and couldn’t figure out why people do.  Wikipedia wrote “Kim Kardashian became a celebrity in 2007, after selling a pornographic film featuring ex-boyfriend, singer Ray J. which enabled the family to rise to stardom.”  It stated that several members of the family have assets of more than $1 billion.

I went to the Poosh website and discovered that the top 10 products Pooshies bought in 2023 were: Mirabella Beauty Phototherapy 7-Color LED Facial Mask ($199), a Ritual Set that includes a microneedling stamp ($225), Supervitamin Body Wash + Brightening ($23), Infrared Heating Body Belt ($298, but on sale for $182), the Arc G-Spot vibrator ($115), Kourtney x Barker Wellness Body Butter ($35), Open Sky Eye Serum ($26), Lymphatic Clease Tea ($40), Matcha Purity Powder ($34) and Best Skin Ever – Seabuckthorn ($40).

Okay, now I get it. Hyatt is employed by rich people, which is why she named dropped to make her point.

It appears a relative of Hyatt’s was caught in public on a video tape and she told me that unless it was taken down by this afternoon, the Kardashians would sue me.

I didn’t answer her, and then she shouted on the phone, “I can hear you breathing you old hag.” She then sent this text message (unedited) “And if u ever so much as think of publishing a video w o consent of my daughter again I’ll have your publication shut down.”

The video was taken in public at 8:30 p.m. on Friday night at a disturbance happening at CVS. Security guards were called and showed up almost immediately. No one is identified in the film (until Sam outed her daughter). No person is accused of wrongdoing.

One kid wrote CTN:  We were just a huge group, so I can understand how it came across as we were shoplifting and harassing people. We didn’t shoplift anything though, and none of us drink. We are 13 years old, on the other hand, the older kids had nothing to do with us. Also, no one got arrested. We are sorry for disturbing the store clerks, but the older kids had sprayed disgusting fart spray on us, so we were genuinely going to look for some cheap perfume to make us smell better.”

One reader wrote “Frankly, CVS closing might not be a bad thing and maybe the American Legion would become a responsible landlord and find a responsible tenant that provides security if needed. Frankly, with the amount of money the American Legion is raking in off of the lease, maybe they should be providing security.”

Pretty classy lassie. Nice lawfare threat.

I support capitalism 100%, but it really strains my faith in it when I see disgusting degenerate people become billionaires because they self-promote their degenerate disgusting values and activities.

  2. madeline hyman says:

    Thanks, Sue.
Next you must publish a review of fart spray!
    Thanks
    Madeline Hyman

In my long experience, when an idiot calls you names, it’s a compliment.

  4. Such incredible entitlement and rudeness. I wonder what HER mother thinks of her
Threats to you and ugly words. So terribly sad. What is wrong that this is the new “normal”. CVS doesn’t deserve this nor any of the businesses being terrorized and bullied. Kids out of control and parents looking the other way or defending them.
Security guards doing the parents job. Sad state of affairs. I am so sorry you had to experience this.

  5. anonymous says:

Does not the POOSH employee notice that the L A Times publishes pictures of people of ALL ages without names daily and without getting threats. Perhaps the Times might be interested in publishing pictures of kids out of control in the Palisades. Just a thought.

We are sorry Sue that you have to take abuse for giving us the real news in this town and protecting the right to freedom of speech. This town never used to be about thoughtless, arrogant, ego driven rich people. There was and thankfully still are families who care about their kids and know what they are up to and are there for them.

  6. Karin (Olson) Espinosa says:

All I can say is the fish stinks from the head.

You educated me on what POOSH was……I would have thought it would be a pet urine and poop spray/smell remover. Thank you for clarifying and bringing me out of the dinosaur years……am I an old hag too?

  7. Marge says:

I think we can all agree that we need a drugstore in town and I would hate for it to close. I shop there for all sorts of things. Perhaps CVS could hire their own security, stationed at the door. There is nothing that says a mob of 2o or 30 thirteen year olds should be allowed to run thru the store. Those kids should have never been allowed in start with. That’s why security at the door is needed.

  8. sarah says:

Karin’s comment above made me giggle. The pet smell remover is called Pooph” and it works incredibly well. Maybe spray some Pooph on Poosh?!

  9. Jen says:

This mom is beyond obnoxious. The fact that she wanted you to know where she works to use as a threat shows how ignorant this mom is. Why would anyone thinks this is a good employee to represent a company? As a customer of CVS it’s very sad that items are now locked because of these ongoing incidents.

  10. Michael says:

Samantha Hyatt must think her last name is Kardashian. She obviously thinks she’s a celebrity when in reality, she’s the help. All that needs to happen is one bad day with Khloe and she can be out on the street without a job. Happens all the time in this town.

  11. cindy says:

Since we are on the subject of CVS, could they please PLEASE send someone to
clean their “full of trash” parking lot behind the store where the beautiful mural is?
