This editor stopped by on Friday around 10 a.m. with a friend and we were escorted to the park by a lovely DWP representative. She had not heard that the Park was going to be reopened. We were able to gain access because a landscaping company was clearing a few burned shrubs near the fence line.
The DWP rep was showed the bathroom, which operates on electricity. She was duly impressed and said she had never seen a public toilet like it before. She also told the editor that said, if someone who works with the Parks could contact her and let her know more about it, she would be happy to look into restoring the electricity to the bathroom.
