Two Outstanding Speakers Set for Temescal Canyon Association  Annual Meeting on December 3

The devastation to the Santa Monica Mountains as a result of the Woolsey Fire will be discussed at the Temescal Canyon Association Annual Meeting.

The Temescal Canyon Association will hold its annual meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, in the historic Dining Hall at Temescal Gateway Park, 15601 Sunset Blvd. The public is welcome to attend, membership is not required. There will be refreshments and free parking.

Melanie Beck, outdoor recreation planner for the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area with the National Park Service, will speak on “The Woolsey Fire – From Devastation to Restoration.”

California Department of Parks & Recreation National Resources Program Manager Suzanne Goode will present “Lessons Learned and Visions of the Future.” The talk will share her experiences during a career that includes overseeing 40,000 acres of natural resources in the Santa Monica Mountains.
