Martha Meade displays some of her art.
This Friday, August 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Trancas Marketplace, 0745 PCH (just past Zuma Beach), the Malibu Art Association will feature local artists. They also host outdoor concert series and Riptide will be playing from 6 to 9 p.m.
Palisades artist Martha Meade, whose murals grace the walls at Marquez Elementary, will be one of the many artists featured. “There will be a variety of artwork for sale, including paintings, jewelry and photography,” Meade said. “Come enjoy the sunset while picnicking on the grass.”

Closer to home, on Saturday, August 20, there will be a pop-up art show, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Members of the Palisades Art Association will display works at 756 Hartzell Street (the first block north of Sunset).
Meade wrote, “There will be paintings and my hand-painted, washable tote bags, plus a clearance sale (25% off) on aprons, both adult and child sizes. I do hope you can join us!”
