Temescal Canyon Association Hosts December 10 Meeting

The Temescal Canyon Association will host its annual meeting via Zoom from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10.

There will be several guest speakers, which includes Bill Hamm from Will Rogers State Historic Park.

Also speaking will be Miroslava Munguia Ramos from the National Parks Service who will discuss the effects of the Woolsey Fire on the plants and animals in the Santa Monica Mountains.

Council District 11 Field Deputy Michael Amster will talk about city projects such as the Dog Park in Temescal Canyon. There will be time allotted for a brief Q&A.

The Temescal Canyon Association was established as a non-profit organization, incorporated in California in 1972, and qualifying under Internal Revenue Code Section 501 (c)(3). The primary purposes of the Temescal Canyon Association are to be an advocate for the preservation of open space in the Santa Monica Mountains: to enhance the public’s experience of the open space through building and maintenance of trails, and by leading the public on hikes along these trails:
to act as a liaison between the community and the various park agencies, and: to support and assist the various park agencies in those areas deemed appropriate by the Board.

Pacific Palisades residents are invited to join the Association by becoming a member: annual dues are $20.
