The Palisades Fire destroyed on January 7 some of the Palisades High School campus and a fundraising benefit is being held to help the kids.

Among the people impacted by the Palisades Fire were the students who attend Palisades Charter High School on Temescal Canyon at Bowdoin. Part of the campus was destroyed and the other buildings and fields unsafe.

Students have had to go zoom classes and the sports teams, bands and drama clubs have no place to practice. Technology, photography and other clubs don’t have a location to operate from –although PaliHi is looking for a site that could serve as a temporary campus, so far none had been found.

Annually, the school holds a auction to raise fund for programs, but this year it will be a benefit to provide critical support for students whose resources have been severely impacted.

The Pali High Booster Club is asking for the community’s help by sponsoring this year’s fundraiser or donating auction items such as services, gift cards or unique experiences.

Sponsorships and donations can be made through the event’s website at palihighboosterclub.com/gala2025.

Donations are sought for an auction that will be open to a community and might include  gift cards, services, vacation rentals, unique experiences, sports or concert tickets, private lessons, or themed gift baskets.

All will be available to big on items starting on March 1 at the website listed above and the auction closes March 29.

A benefit event will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, at the Luxe Hotel in Brentwood.

Entertainment includes a special comedy performance by  comedian Maz Jobrani, a fellow Angeleno who has generously donated his time for the cause.

This event is a vital opportunity to come together as a community to support the nearly 3,000 Pali High students from over 100 zip codes who attend PaliHi.

Now more than ever, your support can make a lasting impact. Businesses and individuals can visit palihighboosterclub.com/gala2025 to learn how to donate, sponsor, or participate in this year’s benefit.
