Pacific Palisades Community Council is looking for people who would like to serve as alternatives on the board. (Left to right) Treasurer Richard Cohen, Secretary Chris Spitz, President George Wolfberg and Vice-president Peter Culhane examine papers at a recent Thursday meeting.

Community Council Seeks Area Alternates

Unhappy with the community issues that our local government, the Pacific Palisades Community Council, does not seem to be addressing? Now is your chance to stop complaining and make a difference. Alternate and At-large representative alternatives are being sought to serve two-year terms on the Council. You have until September 30 at 9 p.m. to apply.

There are representatives from eight areas on the Community Council and each needs an alternate. Alternates vote when the primary representative is absent. Up to two alternates will be selected from each area (visit: pacpalicc.org).

Also needed are alternates for the at-large representative, who must either live, own property or run a business within Pacific Palisades.

Those interested in serving must submit a statement that includes: 1) position you’re like to serve; 2) number of years living in Pacific Palisades and current address; 3) thoughts on issues he or she believes are important to the community; 4) short biography; and 5) any special skills or expertise.

Applications may be handed to the chair at the September 27 meeting or emailed to info@pacpalicc.org by the 9 p.m. deadline.
