Do you want to transform your just “okay” photographs into the “wow” factor?
Here’s your chance to learn how from a professional photographer Rick Steil. His one-week class, which runs July 17 through July 21, has limited spaces available.
The camp will be held at Palisades High School on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and on Tuesday and Thursday shots will be taken at different locations in the Palisades. Besides the times at the camp students will be assigned shooting assignments that they will bring to the next class for an open critique.
A student can sign up for the 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. session or the 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. session. Students should bring their camera or Steil will provide one. The cost of the camp is $400.
In one week, the five-day course, will include digital photography basics, including composition, shutter speed/aperture/ISO/ photoshop, inkjet printing and iPhone.
Students will also learn from each other as well as increasing their camera knowledge and ability. Each session is limited to a small number of students.
“This is the 8th year for the camp, and we have had many happy campers,” Steil said, noting that once he received payment he will confirm a place in class and will send out more information closer to the start of camp.
Steil worked as a professional fashion photographer around the world. He found he wanted to spend more time with his family, and came to Palisades High School, as the AP photographer teacher, 15 years ago.
To sign up for the class or to receive more information, call (310) 428-1160 or email rsteil@palihigh.org.
Is there a minimum age of the student to take the camp class? How many students maximum in each session?
Thank you,
