Palisadian Sam Lagana, the SoFi Stadium “voice” of the L.A. Rams sent Circling the News information about a essentials distribution event to support victims of the Los Angeles Wildfires.
With the devastating impact of the recent wildfires and to support those directly impacted by these tragic events, the Los Angeles Rams and SoFi Stadium/Hollywood Park will host an essentials distribution event Friday, January 17 in partnership with the Clippers and Chargers.
Tomorrow, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. preregistered evacuees will arrive on buses from American Red Cross managed shelters and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. those living under evacuation orders, will be allowed at SoFi Stadium. (ID verification will be required in order to serve those directly impacted.)
SoFi is located at 1100 Prairie Avenue, Inglewood. Participants are asked to enter off Prairie at 97th Street. Park in PS2 and PS3. Free lunch will be provided to all attendees at each location.
At the SoFi Stadium – The Shops at Hollywood Park location, items distributed will be $100 grocery gift cards, pillows, fresh fruit and food boxes, shoes, diapers, pet supplies, hygiene products, backpacks, and new clothing items in addition to Fanatics team branded gear and clothing.
This event is done in partnership with 12 professional sports organizations, their foundations, Fanatics, and the Fanatics Foundation. About $3 million worth of team merchandise, along with thousands of essential items like personal hygiene kits, additional clothing, and sneakers will be distributed. Families with proof of residency in evacuated ZIP codes are invited to attend, and representatives from local organizations will be on hand to provide guidance on recovery and rebuilding efforts.
