The Pacific Palisades Park Advisory Board will meet via Zoom at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 18. This is a particularly important meeting to find answers from Rec and Parks about the plans for dealing with fire damage to the park and a timeline for reopening, possibly with new facilities.

 AGENDA

Park Director Update – Senior Facility Director, Jasmine Dowlatshahi who will give a damage report and updates on necessary remediation and repairs to park facilities including pathway to safe use of the park as intended

Rec and Parks General Manager Jimmy Kim will give updates on necessary remediation and repairs to park facilities. The meeting should include the funding sources  already promised and previously allocated funds for the playground improvements and ADA restrooms

An update for how long DWP will continue to use the space as an onsite operations facility and Mayor Karen Bass’ proposal to turn the “old” gym into a one-stop shopping area for building permits and construction.

What is the timeline for the park to become a park again? Does Mr Soboroff have a timeline? What can he commit to?

RAP Arborist  Leon Boraditsky will give a preliminary analysis of tree and landscape fire damage. He will speak on rehabilitation and replanting trees and other landscaping plans and irrigation repairs and operations plans.

General Public Comment will be taken.
