A Palisades gathering will happen in Clover Park in Santa Monica on Saturday.

There is a saying “if you’re rich you live in Beverly Hills. If you’re famous you live in Malibu. If you’re lucky, you live Pacific Palisades.”

Well, we were lucky up until January 7, when the City decided the neighborhood was no longer a priority.

But the spirit stays strong and this Saturday, every resident has a chance to reconnect.  1Pali is hosting a “Rooted in Resilience” a Palisades gathering from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 19 at Clover Park, 2600 Ocean Park Blvd. Santa Monica.

Organizers write, “After all we’ve been through as a community, this event is our chance to come together, inspire hope, and honor the incredible character that defines the Palisades. Picture a day filled with live music, delicious food, wellness activities, kids’ fun, and a community art project—where 1,000+ neighbors, dozens of local groups, and honorary guests will connect and rise stronger together.”

Those attending include L.A. Mayor Karen Bass, Councilmember Traci Park, Palisades past honorary mayors and surprise VIPs.

Music will start at 10:30 a.m. with the Palisades High School Band, followed at noon by Outer Reef and at 1 p.m. 1969.

Food available for purchase will be Gracias Senior Taqueria, Flour Pizzeria, McConnell’s Ice Cream, John Que’s Smokeout and the Tropic Truck.

A Wellness spot will include yoga at 10:30 a.m., Creative storytelling at noon and live piano meditation at 2:30 pm.

Community Art will feature Bruce Lurie Gallery and Katie O’Neill.

The activities for kids will be tie dye shirts, face painting, Gaga Ball Pit and Dodgeball.

“We’d love for you to join us!” 1Pali organizers said. “We are excited to see everyone in person.”
