The Pacific Palisades Democratic Club will hold its annual meeting at 2 p.m. this Sunday, March 2 via Zoom. The meeting, which was originally set for February 2 at Palisades Charter High School, has been rescheduled because of the Palisades Fire. The meeting, via Zoom, will open at 1:30 p.m. for pre-meeting general conversation.
A slate of elected officials will provide additional fire-related information and address the situation in Washington, D.C. The meeting is intended to end before the Annual Academy Awards show.
Attending will be U.S. Senator Adam Schiff; U.S. Representative Brad Sherman; State Senator Ben Allen; State Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin; County Supervisor Lindsey Horvath; Mayor Karen Bass; Councilmember Traci Park; City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto and LAUSD Board Member Nick Melvoin.

The club also hosted a February 11 meeting with Tax Assessor Jeff Prang, State Senator Ben Allen and Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin to discuss Palisades Fire tax implications and other fire-related issues.
The club sends apologies to those who RSVP’d to that meeting but couldn’t join. “We’ve fixed the Zoom limitation that limited the meeting size,” organizers said. To view that meeting: click here.
Let’s hope we have learned that leadership and Experience matters.
Karen Bass is a very nice person but she was clearly not qualified
To lead an organization as large, complicated and diverse as Los Angeles is.
Please – let Rick Caruso re-build Los Angeles (Pacific Palisades and Alta-Dena)
Caruso has direct experience with PUBLIC SAFETY
Please, Karen Bass can hold another office that is less
Direct public safety concentrated.
