Senior Lead Officer Michael Moore Reports

Senior Lead Officer Michael Moore reminds residents to lock doors and set your alarm. Do not leave ladders unsecured on your property. A window screen can provide easy access for burglars and do not leave a key fob in your vehicle.

Report any and all crimes to the local police station, 1663 Butler Ave. or call the front desk to file reports for minor crimes (310) 444-0702.

ROBBERY:

July 6, in the 15300 block of Antioch at 1:26 PM. The three suspects all appeared to be 20-year-old black males with black hair.  (#1. 5’5″ 180 lbs. #2. 5’8″ 180 lb. huge gap in upper teeth. #3. 5’5″ 150 lb, 20) entered victim’s store but left when approached by store security.

Suspects #1 and #2 re-entered the store 10 minutes later and suspect #1 pepper sprayed the security guard while suspect #2 took purses. The suspects fled in a light blue vehicle identified as possibly a Volkswagon Jetta or Mercury driven by suspect #3.  RD 823

July 11, in the 1500 block of Lachman Lane, 12:20 a.m. The three suspects were black males with black hair (#1. 6’1″, 20 years, patchy beard. #2.  5’10.”  #3. 6’2″-6’4″, 18-20 years) had an argument with victims. The suspects slapped, punched, and kneed a victim and then took a wallet and money.

BURGLARY:

June 28 to July 1, in the 300 block of Paseo Miramar, 2 p.m. to 9:30 a.m. The suspect smashed a second floor window to enter victim’s home and ransacked several rooms. It is unknown if any property was taken.

July 2 to 6, in the 16700 block of Marquez Ave, 8:50 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The suspect smashed a glass door to enter victim’s home and took jewelry and purses.

July 5 to 6, in the 1000 block of Swarthmore, 5 p.m. to 11 a.m. The two suspects (#1. male, 5’5″ 120 lbs.  #2. Male, 5’5″ 120 lbs.) smashed the glass door at victim’s business but were unable to get past the metal security gate.

July 8 in the 15200 block of DePauw, 9 p.m. The suspect smashed a window to enter victim’s home and took unknown property.

July 12 to 13, in the 17300 block of Sunset Boulevard, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. The suspect smashed a glass door to enter victim’s business but it was unknown if any property was taken.


BURGLARY/THEFT FROM VEHICLE

June 14, in the 800 block of Greentree Road, 6:45 to 7:30 a.m. The suspect took the headlamps from victim’s vehicle.

June 29 to July 1, in the 1200 block of Rimmer Avenue, noon to 8 a.m. The suspect took the front license plate from victim’s vehicle.

July 3, in the 1500 block of Will Rogers State Park Road, 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The suspect entered victim’s unlocked vehicle and took money and credit cards.

July 6, in the 500 block of Los Liones, 8:30 to 10:50 a.m. The suspect smashed a window on victim’s vehicle and took a backpack, wallet, and money.

July 6, at Los Liones and Sunset Boulevard, 5 to 7:30 p.m. The suspect smashed a window on victim’s vehicle and took a wallet.

July 9, in the 1500 block of Will Rogers State Park Road, 1:15 to 2:45 p.m. The suspect smashed a window to enter victim’s vehicle and took an iPad and backpack.

July 11, in the 17000 block of Pacific Coast Highway, 4:20 to 8:40 p.m. The suspect entered victim’s vehicle and took a purse, wallet, and credit cards.

July 14, in the 1500 block of Will Rogers State Park Road, 11 to 11:20 a.m. The suspect smashed a window on victim’s vehicle and took a purse.

TRESPASS:

        July 7, in the 200 block of Amalfi Drive, 4:30 p.m. A 32-year-old male was arrested for trespass after entering victim’s property without permission.
