Palisades Newcomers Club Welcomes Members
Newcomers and Friends of Pacific Palisades is a friendly, all-volunteer social organization that welcomes newcomers, old-timers and empty-nesters. You may have seen the group’s banner as a sponsor in the Palisades Fourth of July parade.
Every month, members participate in a range of activities: bridge, canasta, golf, book and movie discussions, gourmet cooking, restaurant dining and happy hours, potluck lunches with speakers, hiking, and exploring the L.A. area.
This month the Explorers Group will visit the Olvera Street area, the birthplace of the city of Los Angeles, and enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine at La Golondrina.
When traveling to an event is necessary, members can drive, carpool or use alternative means of transportation.
Membership includes a monthly newsletter announcing activities for the coming month. Membership is open to old and new residents of Pacific Palisades and neighboring areas.
Currently, the group is comprised entirely of women, but men are welcome. A newcomer may attend up to two events as a prospective member before joining.
Some activities involve an additional charge. The new club year starts this month, so now’s the perfect time to join.

What a great idea to highlight Newcomers and Friends of Pacific Palisades! Many activities already, but also there are opportunities to chair new activities with Board approval. It’s a dynamic group! Thanks for the spotlight, Sue.
Newcomers consists of fun and varied activities which are organized by volunteers. There are no required meetings to attend and no fund raisers. It’s an easy way to meet some of your neighbors. Thank you Sue for this reminder to join.
