At the most recent Pacific Palisades Task Force on Homelessness meeting, City and County Officials discussed the safety issues of the homeless sleeping on the beach.

Homeless Task Force Meeting Nov. 5

The Pacific Palisades Task Force on Homelessness will hold a community meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, November 5, at the Pacific Palisades Library community room, 861 Alma Real.

The topic will be “A Front Door to Success.” Last  November, three formerly homeless individuals came to the meeting to share their stories and how PPTFH had helped them. The meeting was so heartwarming and informative, that the program will be repeated this year.

This year, there will be a follow-up with one of last year’s speakers, Marina, and there will be three new speakers. Each has moved from the streets of Pacific Palisades into permanent supportive housing.

Residents are invited to come hear the stories, ask questions and learn about the speakers’ accomplishments as they move off the streets.

Additionally, Glanda Sherman, a member of the Palisades Outreach Team, will discuss the process of supporting homeless individuals through the various stages until they are successful in receiving permanent housing.

    Thanks, Sue!
It’s easy to feel discouraged about LA’s homeless numbers. But, exciting work is being done —and lives are changing. Come tonight and be inspired and proud of our town!
We are making a difference. Come cheer our new friends, and all the PacPal neighbors who help every day!
