Buy an interesting gift for yourself, for a friend or even for a White Elephant gift exchange and support the library in the process.
The Friends of the Palisades Library will hold a book sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, in the Palisades Library Community Room at 851 Alma Real. Cash and credit cards accepted.
Books sold are in pristine condition and you’re helping to support the environment by keeping them out of landfill. They are priced to sell and include a variety of genres including contemporary fiction, nonfiction, art books, cookbooks, special interest, children’s and young adult books.
All books have been generously donated by our community. Books received that can’t be sold are donated to various worthy organizations including senior centers, prisons, active military personnel and other libraries.
Proceeds from the sale help the Friends supplement library materials, host a wide variety of programs and classes, and provide special initiatives for youth creative writing and art at the Palisades Library.
Are you a member of the Friends of the Palisades Library? For the first time, a presale of fiction and nonfiction books will be offered for members only from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, December 13, in the Community Room. Get first pick and one’s choice of books before the sale is open to the public.
If you are not a member, you can join the Friends, a 501(c)3 nonprofit today, which means due are tax-deductible. Members receive advance email notifications of parking lot book sales, special events and other important library news. Please click here for more information. Membership will be verified at the presale to enter.
