Although this idea is too late for many Palisades residents—it could be a great help for others. LA Strong – Scan Your Photos Drive, a community-driven effort will help Los Angeles families preserve their memories while supporting wildfire relief efforts.
They estimate that over three days, they plan to scan 250,000 photos on the Epson FastFoto Scanner. The dates are Friday, March 21 through Sunday March 23, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Playa Vista. Only one appointment per person. There are 126 slots per day.
There is a registration fee of $20.25 (free for fire victims after registration.

👉 There is NO charge for scanning your photos or providing a USB drive. The registration fee is solely to support event operations and a great cause.
There are strict guidelines for accepted photos. There can be up to 500 loose, NOT in albums or frames, (500 photos is about a five-inch stack). Photo sizes can be between 3×5 inches and 8.5×11 inches. Photos must be in clean condition, with no glue, tape, paperclips or staples.
Photos not accepted are those still attached to album pages, those torn, damaged, wrinkled or fragile and those with adhesive residue, paperclips or attachments.
