Going up and down the Alphabet Streets or the Huntington Palisades on Halloween evening can be a wearying experience – for adults.
Now, take a break at the “Halloween Oasis,” which will be offered at the Ronald Reagan Palisades American Legion Post from 6 to 9 p.m. on October 31.
This is a free, drop-in event for kids and adults, at the Palisades Post 283, at 15247 La Cruz Drive (located next to the U.S. Post Office).
There will be costume contests with cash prizes. The kids contest will begin at 7:30 p.m. and the adult contest will begin at 8 p.m.
Prizes will be given for most creative costume, the wildest and the best overall. There will be a prize for best family costume, too.
The event is free, but people are asked to register to ensure there are enough “treats” click here.
November 1 Coffee and Conversation
If Halloween isn’t your “thing,” there will be a monthly breakfast from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, at the Legion Post, 15247 La Cruz Drive. Come have a snack, drink a cup of coffee and enjoy camaraderie and friendship.
The event is free, but please register in advance by 11 a.m. on October 31 click here.
I LOVE living in the Palisades. Holidays are better here, the people are wonderful neighbors and we, of course, have the best weather and views. How lucky are we to get to enjoy everything we have offered to us here. And, one of my favorite things is Circling the News. Sue Pascoe has tied the whole town together with her energy and knowledge of our town. She ensures we know what the Palisades has to offer.
