A consortium of concerned Angelenos (basically friends in the entertainment business, some of whom live in our community and lost their own homes and children’s schools and some with big hearts from other parts of the city) have marshaled their considerable energies to get thousands of NEW books donated for children who lost their homes in the Palisades and Altadena fires.
The book give-away (for toddlers thru teen readers) is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. February 22 and 23, this weekend, at 1660 Euclid Street in Santa Monica. The venue has generous parking spaces and all are welcome.
It would be greatly appreciated if you’d consider putting it in your newsletter to let families and children know.
Hi Sue,
Do you have more information on this group? Our local elementary school up here in North Idaho (we moved in 2020 when people went Covid crazy in LA!) is raising money this month for Kindness Month and I think this would be a great organization to donate to. Lmk. Thanks so much
