Senior Lead Officer Michael Moore released the following crimes reported in Pacific Palisades in recent weeks. After a few months of “safer at home” mandates, it appears there has been an uptick in crime as people once again populate neighborhoods and businesses.
BATTERY:
June 3, 6:50 a.m., in the 17300 block of Pacific Coast Highway. A 39-year-old male was arrested for battery after throwing a trash can at victim’s tent, striking victim on the head.
BURGLARY:
May 25, 2:40 a.m., in the 17800 block of Castellammare. The two male suspects entered victim’s garage and took a bicycle, beauty products and clothing.
May 25, 3:07 a.m., in the 17800 block of Porto Marina. The male suspect opened an unlocked door on victim’s home and activated an alarm. The suspect then fled the area without taking any property.
May 29 to 30, 4 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., in the 15200 block of De Pauw. The suspect entered location under construction and took tools.
June 5, 4:30 to 5:55 p.m., in the 90 block of Ocean Way. The male white suspect, 5’10” 170 lbs. with brown hair, entered victim’s home and took a knife and blankets.
June 3 to 8, 9:30 p.m. to 9:45 a.m., in the 1200 block of Lachman Lane. The suspect (identified) entered location under construction and took a jackhammer.
June 7, 8 a.m., in the 17700 block of Castellammare. A 43-year-old male was arrested for burglary after entering victim’s home and drinking a can of soda.
June 15, 1:06 a.m. in the 1200 block of Lachman Lane. The suspect pried off plywood to enter victim’s garage but did not take any property.
BURGLARY/THEFT FROM VEHICLE:
May 20, noon to 3 p.m., at Pacific Coast Hwy/Sunset Boulevard. The suspect entered victim’s vehicle and took a wallet, car key and phone.
May 23 to 26, 3 p.m. to noon, in the 17300 block of Tramonto. The suspect entered and ransacked victim’s vehicle. It was unknown what property was stolen.
May 24, 12:30 p.m., in the 200 block of Arno Way. The black female suspect, 40, 5’7” 180 lbs., entered victim’s vehicle and took unknown property before fleeing in a gray 2018 4-door Ford Focus.
May 24 to 25, 5 to 6:30 p.m., in the 300 block of E. Rustic Road. The suspect entered victim’s vehicle and took the vehicle registration and insurance card.
May 29 to 30, 3:30 p.m. to 9 a.m., in the 17200 block of Sunset. The suspect entered victim’s vehicle and took a wallet, sunglasses and clothing.
June 2 to 3, 10 p.m. to noon, 17200 Sunset. The suspect cut a lock to enter victim’s trailer and took airsoft guns, ballistic vest and holsters.
June 4, at Los Liones/Tramonto, 7 to 7:50 p.m. The suspect smashed a window to enter victim’s vehicle and took a purse and money.
June 7, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Los Liones and Sunset. The suspect entered victim’s vehicle and took money and a sweater.
June 7, 6:45 to 8:45 p.m., in the 500 block of Los Liones. The suspect entered victim’s vehicle and took a wallet and airpods.
June 12, 1 to 3 p.m. in the 800 block of Alma Real. The suspect entered victim’s vehicle and took a purse, wallet and a watch.
June 12 to 13, 8 to 1 p.m., in the 800 block of Enchanted Way. The suspect entered and ransacked victim’s vehicle but did not take any property.
HIT-AND-RUN WITH INJURY:
June 7, 5:55 p.m., in the 400 block of Mesa Road. An 18-year-old female was arrested for hit-and-run after causing a collision and fleeing the scene of the accident.
ROBBERY:
June 13, 9:30 p.m., in the 15500 block of Via de las Olas. The four suspects (1. Hispanic male, 20, with dark hair, 5’7″ 140 lbs. 2. Hispanic male, 19, black hair brown eyes, 5’9″ 180 lbs. 3. Black male, 6′ 200 lbs. and 4. Male with no further description) approached victim and his girlfriend.
Suspect 1 pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded property. The suspects then began to strike victim several times while removing property from victim’s pockets. It is possible that suspect 1 discharged the handgun while striking the victim. The suspects fled the area in a green Toyota.
STOLEN VEHICLE:
May 19 to 20, 11 p.m. to 11 p.m., in the 15300 block of Bestor. The suspect took victim’s vehicle from the street.
May 23 to 25, 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., in the 800 block of Alma Real. The suspect took victim’s vehicle from the street.
May 28, 7:50 to 9 p.m., in the 17900 block of Pacific Coast Highway. The suspect used victim’s vehicle keys (taken from the beach) to steal victim’s vehicle.
June 6 to 7, 12:30 p.m. to 6 a.m., in the 17300 block of Sunset. The suspect took victim’s vehicle from a garage.
THEFT:
March 24 to May 24, noon to noon, in the 1400 block of Avenida de Cortez. The suspect (possibly housekeeper) took jewelry from victim’s bedroom.
May 22 to 26, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the 17300 block of Sunset. The suspect took victim’s bicycles from a parking structure.
May 24, 3:20 p.m., in the 16600 block of Sunset. The suspect took victim’s shoes and glasses from the porch.
June 10, 3:40 a.m., in the 15500 block of Sunset. The female suspect, 5’9″ 270 lbs., pried open a lock box and took a key to apartment complex.
