Temporary Pacific Palisades Senior Lead Officer Brian Espin sent the following message to residents, along with the crime report:
“We had a couple of burglaries last week you should be aware of. Always be aware of your surroundings, especially when you’re home. Our criminals are waiting for the opportunity to go unnoticed and swoop in quickly to grab whatever they can. If you see suspicious activity, let your neighbors know.
“The more residents that are visible in the neighborhood that can be a big deterrent for keeping criminals out. Go out, take a walk and get to know your neighbors,” Espin said.
He also warned against leaving any valuables in your car when you park anywhere, even in front of your residence.
“Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or specific concerns,” Espin said. A non-emergency number is (877-275-5273) or the West L.A. Police Station is (310) 444-0737. Espin’s email is 37430@lapd.online.

Five incidents in the 500 block of Los Liones seems worthy of extra patrol, a little extra investigation. I would be terrified if I lived there! Four of them were car break-ins which seems like patrols would help deter.
