Palisades Symphony to Perform Sunday

The Palisades Symphony, under the direction of Joel Lish, will perform its holiday concert at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, in the Community United Methodist Church, 801 Via de la Paz.

Also, in concert is the Brentwood Palisades Chorale, with Choir Director Susan S. Rosenstein. This is the second concert of the Symphony’s 53rd season. Admission is free, and everyone is welcomed.

The joint symphony and choir will perform “Alexander’s Feast” by G.F. Handel. Soloists include soprano Coril Prochnow, alto Megan Gillespie, tenor Manfred Anaya and bass Eric Castro.

The mission of the Palisades Symphony is to make classical music accessible to audiences, provide musicians with the opportunity to perform and contemporary composers with a forum to have their works featured. Tax-deductible contributions are welcome and help defray the cost of the rental and performance space, Young Artist awards, printing and postage, and payments for the conductors and soloists.

Checks may be mailed to P.O. Box 214, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272. The tax ID # is 237092960 and “you derive no tangible benefit from this gift.”
