Cinque Terre West will be open for take-out or dine-in on Father’s Day.
You have been cooped up with dad for the past few months, perhaps with him preparing a lot of the meals.
Now is your chance to repay him with some great food on Father’s Day this Sunday at Cinque Terre West, 970 Monument Street. Dine in on the patio or order curbside takeout.
From 8:30 to 11 a.m., breakfast could include the best croissants in town, as well as “Green Eggs” ($15, includes two eggs sunny-side up on rye toast, with avocado, lemon, Calabrian chili and pesto) or an omelette ($14, eggs mixed with kale, tomatoes and goat cheese, plus baby mixed greens and potatoes).
Lunch is available from 11 to 4 a.m. and features pappardelle alla Bolognese, tagliatelle al pomodor e basilico or two different pizzas (gluten-free crust is available), either the Tartufo ($21) with mozzarella, goat cheese and black truffle or the margherita ($14).
Dad might instead opt for the grilled whole Mediterranean sea bass, with charred asparagus and chermoula ($31), prepared by Chef Gianba Vinzoni. Or offer him the half chicken with garlic confit in white wine ($19) or maybe the smoked brisket brussel hash, chayote, chimichurrei ($26).
One of the most surprising menu additions during the Covid-19 restriction has been the quality cheeseburger and fries ($15) offered by this family-run Italian eatery.
Co-owner Marlo Vinzoni told Circling the News, “Our cheeseburgers have been pretty popular in the community, so we have added a truffle burger with truffle fries as well.”
One person wrote on social media, “Wow. Best burger in L.A.” and another person added, “THAT is a very tasty burger! Best burger in the 90272 for sure.”
