Businesses and individuals have a chance not only to support the parade, but to have more than 12,500 residents view an advertisement.
Annually, the Palisades Americanism Parade Association puts out an OFFICIAL Parade Program. It includes stories about the people, band and floats that will be featured in the parade. And it includes a beautiful front page, created from a painting done by local artist Katie’ O’Neill.
In this publication, which is mailed to every home in Pacific Palisades, residents can view the parade lineup, and they can read about the celebrities and dignitaries.
Since this is a PAPA publication and PAPA is in charge of the parade, this is the only guide that has specific 4th of July parade and fireworks information. All other guides have to use filler stories like “clever patriotic napkin designs” or “what to wear to the parade.”
All money collected from advertising, after the costs of producing and mailing the program, goes back into the PAPA fund for the following year.
Jeff Ridgway, former owner of the bookstore on Antioch, is the sales rep for the Parade Program. The deadline for ads is May 24 if you need help creating one. Or if your business has camera ready artwork, the deadline for an ad is June 7.
Contact Jeff Ridgway, (310) 573-0150 or email program@palisades4th.com for a list of prices for full-page, half-page, quarter-page and eighth-page ads.
